VOICE ACTIONS

Control your phone with just the sound of your voice — Voice Actions makes it possible. Just open the Voice Actions app, and speak into your phone to say what you want to do. Search your phone, compose a text, visit a website, cue up music, get directions, make a call, pull up a map, write a note.

PERSONALIZED HOME SCREENS

With Android, you can personalize your home screen to make it easy to access your favorite apps and widgets. Keep yourself organized by having multiple home screens. Dedicate one screen to the apps you use the most, and another to all the apps you use for work. Or, have a screen that’s all your favorite games. How you organize is up to you.

WIDGETS

All the info that matters to you is right on your home screen, thanks to widgets. View your calendar, see the latest score, check the weather or peek at your inbox, all without leaving the home screen and opening different apps. And don’t worry about space. You can resize widgets to make sure everything fits — or rely on the already concise Circles widget, an all-in-one real-time feed for the time and weather, missed calls and texts, and battery status.

NOTIFICATIONS

An easy-to-read status bar gives you quick access to your calls, incoming texts, new emails and more in a non-intrusive way. Pull down the status bar to see more details and launch the associated app to take action. Returning calls, viewing pictures, posting comments — the status bar helps you get it all done, quickly.

MULTITASKING

Android makes it easier than ever to juggle multiple tasks at once on a mobile device. A recent apps key at the bottom of each home screen helps you quickly switch between your frequently used apps. Read an email, check your calendar and respond to a text in no time. The apps keep running in the background, so when you switch back and forth, you’re able to pick up right where you left off.

VOICE TYPING

Stop typing and start talking. Voice typing lets you dictate messages with just your voice. A powerful new voice input engine shows dictation in real time. Talk continuously, pause and speak punctuation to compose emails, texts and more. The system corrects itself as you speak.

FOLDERING

Folders are just one more way to help keep yourself and your device organized. To create a folder, just drag apps and shortcuts onto one another, in whatever ways make sense to you. Create a “Games” folder for all your gaming apps, and how about a “Food” folder for all your favorite recipe apps. The options are endless.

LOCK OPTIONS

You have options when it comes to protecting the important info stored on and accessed by your phone. Create a PIN or pattern so only you can unlock your phone.
